I used this as an opportunity to look at different areas of art and design. The different areas I looked at were illustration, photography, collage, animation, motion graphics, and printing.
I used art/design movements and periods as inspiration for some of the letters. De Stijl inspired the I, Pop Art inspired the K, Dada inspired the R, Art Deco inspired the U, and Constructivism inspired the Z. The S was inspired by Harry Jenkins' (Ineptaliens) illustrations.
The 2 was inspired by Futurism, the 5 was inspired by Saul Bass, and the 8 was inspired by the Swiss design inspired posters by Mike Joyce. The 7 was inspired by the title sequence to the film 'Se7en'. The title sequence was made by Kyle Cooper. The 3 was inspired by the marker drawings by Abbas Husain (Bagman Studios).
